Mike Biederman - Loose Ends
This comes from Mike Biederman's new EP "The Great Circle Track". Most of the songs are somewhat acoustic rock/heavy folk (Mike has a great rock voice!). This song, titled "Loose Ends", is one of the quieter songs, and has a great hypnotic groove.
The Projects - Falling Asleep In Reverse
"You'll Have What We're Having" is the new album by The Projects - the group is principally jazz-based, but a bit too restlessly talented to stay pigeonholed in any one genre/rut for too long. This track "Falling Asleep In Reverse" has a bit of a world music feel to it, and rocks pretty hard during the almost free-jazz break toward the end. It features Lacy Katherine Campbell on vocals. "Genres? We don't need no stinkin' genres!"
Diana Lawrence - Love Has Won
From her brand new EP "To: Aging Children" comes this incredible song from Diana Lawrence. Hard to pick which is better, her singing or her songwriting...both are off the charts. Let's get her ON the charts, ASAP!

Nick Gutierrez - On The Mend
Here is a track from Nick Gutierrez. His new EP might be classified as Soul. Keyboard-based rock arrangements, with a very soulful voice leading the way. THIS track, however, sits more in the Prog Rock vein...with a little imagination you can see Nick in a swirling cape under the multicolored lights, stabbing at the B-3 with the stage fog billowing up around him..."Fog it up, again", indeed!

Gus Stagg - One-Eyed Jack
Next up is a track from Gus Stagg's new album "New Songs For Old Souls" titled "One-Eyed Jack". The production on Gus' album is a bit sparse, and intentionally so - he wanted an intimate feel, as if he were singing directly to the listener, right there in their home. Many of the tracks on the album offer a bit of spoken introduction, explaining (or occasionally, obfuscating) the meanings behind the songs. Take this one for instance...
Mike Przygoda - When The Seasons Change
So here is the first of a handful of tracks featuring the artists playing the BIG SPEED-FI RELEASE: this one is from Mike Przygoda, from his new album "All My Heroes Are Gone". With a somewhat Kinks-esque feel, it is an upbeat sounding tune with rather wistful lyrics...
And Plus Also Too!
In addition to enjoying a full evening of great music and wonderful company, if you buy any artist's album or EP during the show, just leave your email address and get sent some free songs from that artist's live set! Then you can re-live the experience over and over again: "Hey, hear that guy screamin' ENCORE! ENCORE! ENCORE! ? That's me!"
